Doom Eternal made a record debut for the franchise (TRAILER)
Few days ago, DOOM Eternal was released on the market and managed to have an even better weekend than its predecessor, DOOM of 2016. Specifically, in its debut, Eternal set a new sales record for the franchise, after it managed to fill Bethesda's box office with double revenue compared to the previous chapter of the series.
At the same time, it managed to attract more than 100,000 simultaneous players on Steam. This number is much higher than any other game recently released by Bethesda, with Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus for example managing to attract just 16,000 simultaneous players when the previous DOOM was released around 30,000 respectively.
The corona pandemic has certainly played a big role, as millions of gamers around the world are locked up in their homes to reduce its spread, having more time than ever for new releases.
Doom Eternal is available for: PS4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia
The title will be released for the Nintendo Switch later this year.
