Information about PS5's media applications

Media Remote's possibilities

Sony continues to complete the puzzle for its next-generation console piece by piece, bringing new information into the spotlight. More specifically, this time we learned more about the PS5 media applications and capabilities.

In detail, Sony has revealed that the official Media Remote of the PlayStation 5 will have four special keys that will lead directly to Disney +, Netflix, Spotify, and YouTube. At the same time, we learned that when the console is released on November 19, it will support the following media applications/services:

• Apple TV

• Disney+

• Netflix

• Spotify

• Twitch

• YouTube

Plus, some additional streaming applications such as Amazon Prime Video, MyCanal, Hulu, and Peacock, will be supported.

Finally, Sony stated that the PS5 UI will have a separate space dedicated exclusively to media content, which will be located to the right of the respective gaming space. In fact, you will no longer need to download entertainment applications through the PS Store, as everything is already on the Media tab.
