Rumours for development of Resident Evil 4 Remake

It seems that after the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, Capcom has given the green light for the remake of Resident Evil 4. According to a post on the Video Games Chronicle website, the game is already in development and targeted by Capcom for release in 2022.

According to the same report, M-Two, the studio founded by PlatnumGames chief Tatsuya Minami, is responsible for the project. Preparations began in 2018 and as long as Capcom's development teams and external partners are needed, they are ready to provide any assistance.

Shinji Mikami, director of the original game, has given his best wishes for the smooth completion of the project and has already given some instructions to the development team. But when asked to lead the developers' team, he politely declined.

Although the release of Resident Evil Remake seems to be a fact, until something is officially confirmed the above should be managed as rumours and nothing more.
