Amazon is investing hundreds of millions in gaming
According to a recent report in The New York Times, Amazon is investing hundreds of millions in the gaming industry.
In fact, in May, it is about to launch the first high-budget title, called Crucible, which is a 12-player, class-based science-fiction game where you have to create the right alliances, with the ultimate goal of being the last survivor.
Amazon is also developing a cloud gaming platform, called Project Tempo, which will logically compete with Google Stadia and will initially be accompanied by Crucible and New World, another of Amazon's games. New World is a medium that will also be released next month. The events take place in the middle of the 17th century, in a fantastic location similar to the British colonies in the Atlantic.
There is also a third game, developed by Irvine studio, which is based on The Lord of the Rings franchise and will also be MMO.
