PlayStation Portable 2000 or PSP 2000 or PSP Slim is a handheld console and a redesign of the original PSP released by Sony in 2007. This version of PSP is slimmer and lighter than the original version (23 to 18.6 mm, 80 to 189 gr). The differences with the original PSP are the following:

  • USB charger was added

  • TV output was added

  • No backwards compatibility with the original PSP controllers

  • D-pad improvement

  • Improved WiFi connectivity

  • Improved micro-controller

  • Brighter and thinner LCD screen

  • From 32MB to 64MB of internal RAM
