SSD COMPANY LIMITED was founded in 1995 in Japan by nine engineers. Eight of the engineers helped develop the Nintendo Entertainment System. In 2004, XaviXPORT, a home console released by SSD COMPANY LIMITED in USA and as the Domyos Interactive System in Europe. The console used image recognition and infrared sensors that could detect the player's movements. So it was like a predecessor of Wii, aiming for the player's fitness. The console used cartridges and wireless controllers that are shaped like sports equipment (such as baseball bats or tennis racquets).
XaviXPORT released for $79.99 alongside with 3 games : Baseball, Bowling and Tennis, all retailed at $49.99. The company released more games later on, however, 2 years later Nintendo will launch the Nintendo Wii, a movement that was fatal for the future of XaviXPORT.
In 2008 SSD COMPANY released it's last game for XaviXPORT and in 2013 social media of XavixPort went silent and the company ceased all activities, while in 2017 the related website went down with the expiration of the domain.
