Videosmarts is an educational home console released by Connor Electronics in 1986 for children. The main purpose of the console was to educate children in math and phonics. The console have 4 action buttons and an internal speaker. Videosmarts was the first console that used VHS tapes as a store media. The console was connected with the audio output of a VCR in order to receive signals from the tape, while cartoon puppets were interacting with the children in the games. The main character was a puppet called Teachin' Teddy and had two assistants, Roger Parrot and Penelope Goldfish.
