Philips Tele-Game Series is a series of six home pong consoles released by Philips between 1975 and 1978. They are considered one of the first home consoles ever released. All of the six models have the "ES" indication in their names, which stands for "elektronisches Spiel" or "electronic game" in German. The console names changed in some countries. For example, in UK the console names were Tele-Game but in Germany the name Tele-Spiel was used. In the same way, in Finland was used the name Tele-Peli, in Netherland Tele Spel, but all these names mean Tele-Game.

The six models of Philips Tele-Game Series are the following:

  • Tele-Spiel ES-2201 - the first console of the series released in 1975 for (converted) €61. There are five cartridges. The Badminton cartridge can be found in the box. The other four, Pelota, Skeet Shooting, Racing and Ghostchaser were sold for 45 Franc.

  • Tele-Spiel ES 2203 Las Vegas - the second console of the series released in 1977 it has six built-in games - Pong, soccer, squash, practice and two shooting games played with a separately available light gun. The device is identical to the first console of the series, however it had low sales due to the high price.

  • Tele-Spiel ES 2204 - the third console of the series released in 1977 is the first model of the series that emits a colored image signal in the screen due to the use of the AY-3-8515 chip (the two previous models are using the AY-3-8500 chip). Otherwise the model is identical to the previous model. (6 games can be played in total also).

  • Tele-Spiel ES 2207 Travemünde - the fourth console of the series released in 1977 is a cheaper version of the Tele-Spiel ES 2203 Las Vegas model (second model). 4 games can be played (not the two shooting games with the light gun).

  • Tele-Spiel ES 2208 Las Vegas super color - the fifth console of the series released in 1978 is the first console of the series that offers a joystick with 2-dimensional instead of 1-dimensional movements and using a AY-3-8550 chip, otherwise it's identical to the Tele-Spiel ES 2204 (fourth model). (6 games can be played in total also, 4 games and 2 shooting games with the light gun).

  • Tele-Spiel ES 2218 Las Vegas - the sixth console of the series released in 1978 is using a AY-3-8600 chip and has 8 games integrated instead of 6. This console was also available as a self-building kit with the designation EB 7601.
