Memorex Video Information System is a home console released by Tandy in 1992. The console was similar to Philips CD-i, trying to combine a CD Player, a computer and a gaming console but the sales was very low. Memorex VIS was sold only in Radio Shack stores and sold only 11,000 units. The players didn't see any interest in educational gaming and the price - at $699 - was a bit high. At some point the price became lower - the console was sold as Memorex MD 2500 Video Information System for $399.
